The Art League of the Chathams will kick off their Fall Exhibit with a September 11, 2016 reception 2-4 PM that is free & open to the public. Come & enjoy lovely music & refreshments.

“A Collection of Color” will be the theme where Ellie Culver showcases her paintings & Colleen Kirton her photography in the Lundt-Glover Gallery.

Ellie’s artwork reflects a love of nature carried through out her life where she was encouraged to express her love of art. Colleen’s creative passion for nature is expressed through the lens.

Together, the mother and daughter team created  a similar show a couple of years ago in Madison. Their unique venture was so well received that this duo is proud to share their experience once more.

Watercolor is Ellie’s medium of choice. However, in early 90’s she learned the art of tile painting and began a successful business. It was an honor foe Ellie to have her tile art presented in a showcase house bathroom in Morristown.

Ellie has been a member of the ALC for a number of years and has enjoyed participating in the shows at the Municipal Building and at Borough Hall. In November 2015 she and her daughter, Colleen Kirton had a show at the Chase Room at the Madison Library. They consider it a wonderful gift to share their love of the arts and look forward to having another Mother-Daughter show at the Lundt-Glover Gallery in September 2016.
